Doing your research is probably what brought you to this Lincoln welding cart review, and it may just be able to save you a lot of grief!

It can be a real hassle to build a rolling cart, and it is often more expensive than just buying a good weld cart in the first place. When you look for a welding cart, you want to find one that balances durability, storage, and affordability.  Let’s find out the details of this Lincoln wire feeder and see if it’s worth the investment.

It’s made of steel. It’s pretty compact, with 28 x 14 x 21 length, width, and height dimensions.

It’s got sizeable rear wheels; the 8-inch rubber wheels are built to last. The 2 front casters make this cart easy to maneuver. 


The Lincoln cart is pretty small. It has an angled top shelf and a small storage shelf below for accessories. This cart is extremely light, weighing just under 25 pounds, but it is low to the ground so it won’t tip over under the weight of a welder. It has an 80-pound carrying capacity.

Although it says that it is an Electric Wire Feeder cart, we feel that calling to such is very misleading. The handle is meant to double as your cable wrap hanger, which decreases the maneuverability and safety of having a handle. 


Durability is critical in a welding cart. In this rough profession, with heavy tools, you need a cart that can stand the test of time without bowing in under the weight of a welder.

We feel like you could do better when it comes to durability with this product. While the Yaheetech welding cart has several shelves and a nearly 180 pound capacity, this cart maxes out at less than half of that. At 80 pounds carrying capacity, this cart can barely handle the weight of the average welder, never mind tools and gas canisters on top of that! 

The construction itself is not terrible. It’s a very small cart, not coming far off the ground, and the welder shelf is slanted, which is pretty nice.  It is rugged enough for basic DIY home workshops but we don’t see many professionals using this cart on a regular basis and we don’t recommend it for anyone who needs more than a simple transportation cart for their welder. 

Lincoln Welding Cart Review Fact. This cart is actually an ideal choice for welders who want simplicity. It has just enough storage space to accommodate gloves and basic needs and doesn’t take up tons and tons of room. It’s light enough to push around even if you have failing strength, too. 

Storage Space

The Lincoln also leaves much to be desired when it comes to storage space. Seriously, we found ourselves asking where the storage space is. This cart offers a single shelf below the welder for all of your accessories. It is closed in on the front and back sides of the cart, making it very difficult to access your storage. 

Unfortunately, the giant, rigid handle on this cart means that you can’t take advantage of the compact size and light cart weight when it comes to storing this on shelves or under benches. 

Wheel Construction

The one thing the Lincoln gets right is the wheels. When it comes to welding carts, rubber tires are a necessity. In general, the larger the tire is, the better the cart will handle. This cart skips he typical 6-inch tires in favor of 8-inch rubber tires. It also has 2 casters to make it easier to maneuver around workshop obstacles. 


When it comes to affordability, we like making a value judgment. There’s something to be said for pricing, but occasionally you get what you pay for. The average welding cart costs around $100 or so. 

This cart is a bit cheaper than a lot of other models, and sits right around the average cart cost. Unfortunately, we feel like the features it brings to the table don’t measure up to average. We would not consider buying this unless it came at a more budget friendly price on the low end of the cart spectrum.

For about half the price, you can get the Yaheetech cart, which cones with double the load capacity and triple the storage space. For only a little bit more than the cost of this, you can get the Hot Max cart, with over twice the space and significantly more load capacity. 

While this is an affordable cart that meets the average market price, we don’t feel like paying the average market price for this cart would be a good investment. You can get more bang for the same buck with other carts. 

Competitor Comparison 

It’s pretty clear by now that we don’t think that the Lincoln can hold a candle to either the Yaheetech Welding Cart or the Hot Max WC100 Welding Cart.

We were really disappointed in this cart. If it were a person, it would be the most basic date you’ve ever had in your life. 

When you sit the Lincoln beside the Yaheetech, you will immediately notice a difference.

This tiny cart will make you bend over and nearly touch the ground just to access your tools or welder, which is nowhere near as friendly on your body as the Yaheetech’s higher welding shelf and storage.

Speaking of storage, with the Lincoln there isn’t really much of that to speak of.

We are scratching our heads trying to figure out why this cart costs twice as much as the obviously superior Yaheetech. 

Usually, the Hot Max is a decent middle of the line cart. It won’t win any awards, but it also won’t steer you wrong. Most of the carts we review are either pretty evenly comparable or a bit better than the Hot Max. In this case, we found that the Lincoln is pretty below average and the Hot Max is again the clear victor. While the Hot Max costs a small amount more than the Lincoln, the benefits are significantly increased from one model to the next. The Hot Max has triple the storage capacity and nearly doubles the weight capacity. 


No one likes to completely dump on a product, but our team is always completely honest. When it comes to the Lincoln Welding Cart Review, we honestly can’t recommend buying it. With inferior storage capacity, weight capacity, and sizing, this cart isn’t going to be useful for anyone who needs more than a basic cart to transport their welder. The Yaheetech cart is cheaper and far, far superior.
